Responsible for providing technical support by solving problems, trouble shooting and working with customers to guide them to the best possible product solutions for their applications and experiments. To be able to provide this level of support you will get to work with several other application engineers that have years of experience covering: optics, lasers, polarization, fiber, opto-mechanics, electronics, spectroscopy, and more. Between onsite lab opportunities and peer review you will be exposed to every facet of the photonics industry. Tech Support (Application Engineering) is a great training ground for putting your Optics or Physics knowledge to work. The position is primarily at Thorlabs China, Shanghai office and there will be opportunities to travel to tradeshows, and training events on and offsite.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
職責描述
1. Provide technical support and answer customers’ technical questions via phone, email and online web support tool;
通過電話，電郵與在線工具高效解決客戶光電子產(chǎn)品相關的技術問題；
2. Select appropriate products and provide solutions according to customers’ requirements by means of reproducing customers’ setup in lab or cooperating with other entities of Thorlabs, etc;
理解客戶應用需求，并通過與Thorlabs全球的技術支持團隊成員密切合作，為客戶提供優(yōu)質(zhì)技術解決方案；
3. Arrange the return and repair process for malfunctioned products;
在測試實驗室復現(xiàn)客戶報告的技術問題，以及對故障產(chǎn)品進行檢測和問題排查；
4. Provide customers with installation and training service on large-scale equipment;
協(xié)助光子學實驗室專家對演示實驗室的來訪客戶進行基礎培訓、專題培訓和產(chǎn)品演示；
5. Work with R & D engineer to **** prototypes;
協(xié)助研發(fā)人員，參與新產(chǎn)品的概念設計與開發(fā)；
6. Generate new product ideas and assist in designing new product;
協(xié)助光子學實驗室專家進行自主研發(fā)產(chǎn)品的測試；
7. Attend conferences and trade shows and set up Demos;
參加行業(yè)內(nèi)高端展會和相關學術會議，負責展品Demo的設計、現(xiàn)場搭建與調(diào)試，以及在展會期間接待客戶；
JOB REQUIREMENTS
職位要求
1. A Master\\\\\\\'s Degree or higher in Optics, Opto-electronics, Physics or equivalent;
光學、光電子、物理等相關專業(yè)碩士或博士學位；
2. 1+ year hands on experience in a Photonic lab is required;
具備1 年以上光學實驗室相關工作經(jīng)驗；
3. Good understanding in Optics, Mechanics and Electronics;
扎實的光學、機械、電子、光纖以及光電測量知識；
4. Strong experience in optical setup, and knowledge of wide variety of photonics devices
熟悉光學系統(tǒng)搭建和光學測量技術，以及各種光學儀器的使用；
5.中英文流利，并具備良好的中英文書面和口頭交流能力；
6. Customer centering mentality;
以友好、協(xié)商的態(tài)度滿足客戶需求；
7. Must be self-motivated, and good team work spirit.
做事認真負責，具有團隊合作精神；
